President, Texas Black Expo
Jerome Love is the founder and president of the Texas Black Expo, Inc., producers of the nationally-recognized Texas Black Expo Summer Celebration, which is the largest African-American tradeshow in the state of Texas. He earned a B.S. in corporate communications with a minor in business from the University of Texas at Austin. During his tenure at the University of Texas, Love had a brief stint in corporate America, which motivated his entrepreneurial ambitions.
Director of Business Development, Texas Black Expo
Saki Indakwa is a recognized marketing leader known for her strategic vision to achieve business goals. She has a successful and diverse background spanning marketing, public relations, corporate communications and business development in the energy, education, health care, and professional services industries. A native Houstonian, Saki earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Houston and an MBA from Texas Southern University.
Director of Corporate Affairs, Texas Black Expo
DaLana Guess is the director of corporate affairs for the Texas Black Expo. A native of Ft. Wayne, IN, she has been immersed in the business and faith communities in Houston since 2000. Guess earned an electrical engineering degree from Purdue University and an MBA from the University of Illinois - Champaign. Her commitment to the betterment of people and communities is the driving force for her involvement with the Texas Black Expo. She has a keen sense of collaboration that bridges the gap between businesses and the needs of communities in which they operate and do business.
Director of Operations Texas Black Expo
Will Burnett is a project manager with a focus in arts and entertainment. Work experiences include program management for non-profit rganizations, special events coordinating, and production and tour management. He served six years as the producer of the African World Festival held in Detroit, Michigan, for over 28 years and currently works as production manager for international recording artists.
Director of Communications, Texas Black Expo
Misty Starks is the director of communications for the Texas Black Expo. A native of New Orleans, Louisiana, she is the founder of Misty Blue Media, a multimedia production consultancy. Starks has received numerous awards for writing and video production. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications from Howard University and a Master of Arts degree from the University of St. Thomas.
