Like the rest of the world, we at Texas Black Expo are working to adjust to the effects of the coronavirus pandemic. As a non-profit organization, we are especially vulnerable, as we rely on support from you, our sponsors, who we know are also affected.

While we anticipate that the pandemic will come to an end before the summer months arrive, we do not think it is prudent to take a “wait and see” approach. Therefore, we have decided to modify Summer Celebration 2020 not to include the tradeshow held at the George R Brown Convention Center and conduct scheduled programming on Thursday, June 11 and Friday, June 12 only, which include:

BPA Professional Networking Reception – Thursday, June 11 at 6 p.m.

Coffee and Conversation Business Development Forum – Friday, June 12, 8 a.m. – 11:15 a.m.

Corporate Awards Luncheon featuring Dr. Kase Lawal – Friday, June 12 at 12 Noon

These events have historically seen very robust and enthusiastic attendance, and we expect the same for this year. We are excited to be able to offer these events, which we believe are important to Houston’s African American small business community.

We know this is a trying time for everyone across the globe, but we remain optimistic about the future and look forward to seeing you this summer. Thank you for your continued support.
