Colleges, Career Sessions and Scholarships for Students at Texas Black Expo

Houston, Texas – April 25, 2018Texas Black Expo, Inc. (TBE), producers of the largest African American tradeshow and festival in the south, will host its annual College Fair as part of the TBE Summer Celebration. The event takes place Saturday, June 9th at the George R. Brown Convention Center, with sessions starting at 9:30 a.m.

The TBE College Fair will feature representatives from 40 colleges and universities from around Texas and across the country. The list of participating schools includes:

In addition to the College Fair and Career Sessions, a panel discussion titled “HBCU, PWI, Community College: Making the Right Choice,” will take place on the main Expo stage. During this discussion, the pros and cons of attending a Historically Black College or University, a predominantly white institution or a community college.

This year’s Expo will feature more programs and resources to empower and give back to local businesses, artists and youth. All events are free to the public and made possible through the help of sponsors like Wells Fargo, KPRC Channel 2, Texas Southern University (TSU) and Forward Times Publishing.
