Shannon Williams, Ph.D. is an entrepreneur, researcher, author, fundraiser and business consultant. As an entrepreneur, she has co-founded and led various entrepreneurial ventures and provides consulting services for startups and existing entrepreneurs.
Dr. Williams is also the founder and Chief Executive Nerd of geniuscribes.com. At geniuscribes, she leads a team that provides ghostwriting and publishing services to high-level academics, intellectuals and professionals, and a team of “doctor makers” that provides dissertation coaching and editing services to doctoral students, helping them to ascend into the elite ranks of doctoral graduates.
Additionally, Dr. Williams is the co-founder of Texas Black Expo, which serves disadvantaged communities by strengthening businesses, inspiring youth, and helping individuals build better lives.
Since the organization's inception, she has been privileged to provide programmatic, production and administrative support for Texas Black Expo's visionary and trailblazing CEO, Jerome Love. A lifetime board member of Texas Black Expo, Dr. Williams advises and provides consultation services for the organization to help ensure its continued growth and success.
In addition to researching and teaching entrepreneurship as an adjunct university professor, Dr. Williams has published two books in the genre: The Business Birthing Blueprint, which teaches economic and community development organizations how to establish nonprofit business incubators, and Spiritual Entrepreneurship, which teaches ministry leaders how to cultivate a culture of entrepreneurship in their churches to support missions and ministry.
A program developer and fundraiser with a nearly $15M YTD track record of success, Dr. Williams was recently appointed as Director of Programming to organize, launch and lead development for the Booker T. Washington Empowerment Center at The R.O.C.K. World Outreach International under the leadership of Dr. Dana Carson. The Center provides economic and social empowerment programming for historically underserved Houston residents through free and low-cost job training, life skills training, and holistic health programs.
