An advocate for small business owners and entrepreneurs, Thomas take businesses to the next level. At McConnell and Jones, he serves as partner of the tax and small business solutions group, and as such he thrives on working with small business owners and risk-taking entrepreneurs.
Throughout his professional career, Thomas has actively served the community through his involvement in numerous civic organizations. He also serves on the Board of the Spirit of Texas Bank, where he is a founding board member and is Chairman of the Board for the Florida A&M University Foundation. Previous boards served include Royal Oaks Bank (founding member), American Red Cross, Trees for Houston, The United Negro College Fund, and Acres Homes Citizens Chamber of Commerce (founding member). Thomas is a past Chairman of the Board of the Greater Houston Convention and Visitors Bureau and was instrumental in the improvement of the economy of Greater Houston by attracting conventions, tourists and international government officials to the area through sales and marketing efforts.
